Personal Sin
Holy God, I grieve for what I have done and left undone.
Holy God, I grieve that I have made myself disordered and my life unfocused.
Holy God, I grieve over sin’s horror on the earth and the vanity and emptiness of human affairs.
Holy God, draw me to Your holy Self. Amen
This is a heavier week. We’ve meditated on how sin entered the world and who goes to Hell. Now we look inwards at our own shortcomings and the times we’ve, “missed the mark.” Yes, you will face your death. Yes, in your prayer, you will place yourself in Hell and you may see your own inner demons. Be gentle with yourself over the next couple of weeks. Pray an extra Rosary for yourself and your brothers. GO TO CONFESSION.

Examen
A daily prayer that was so important, St. Ignatius wrote that should a Jesuit find himself too ill to attend daily Mass, he should still make an effort to pray his twice daily Examen.
It is a prayer used to find God in all things, and in particular, where God might have been calling or inviting us, and where we failed to answer that call or invitation.
